INTERNAL CALLS
Your next answer could be one colleague away.

01 / FIND THE PERSON
The name matters more than memorising a number.
Search the internal user list, recognise the teammate and select their extension to start the call. Keep the conversation close to the work you are already doing.

02 / CALL CONTROL
Keep the conversation moving, at your pace.
The webphone brings caller identity, mute, hold, keypad, transfer and end-call controls together. Incoming calls open the call popup so you can see who is reaching you.
During the conversation
UCaaS webphone
A moment of privacy at your end.
Mute your microphone, then unmute when you are ready to continue.
Pause the call while you check.
Place the call on hold while you review a detail, then return to the conversation.
The digits you need, within reach.
Open the webphone keypad when the connected call requires number entry.
Move the call to the right destination.
Use the transfer control with a destination supported by your phone configuration.
Select a control to explore its purpose. This preview does not change a call.
03 / A CLEARER HANDOVER
A transfer should move the work forward.
Use a direct internal conversation to clarify responsibility before the next customer follow-up. Where a call needs to move, use the transfer options enabled for your phone service.
01
Clarify the question
“Which detail needs a second look?”
02
Reach the specialist
Call the colleague on their extension.
03
Agree the next owner
“I’ll take the follow-up from here.”
Call-transfer modes and allowed destinations are confirmed during configuration.
04 / FOLLOW-THROUGH
Keep the agreement with the work.
After coordinating by voice, add an internal note to the relevant conversation or ticket and mention the teammate who should continue. Private notes and mentions support collaboration within the enabled workspace.
Notes are entered by the team; an internal call does not automatically create or attach a note.

05 / RECORDS & REVIEW
Return to the detail, when you need it.
Search and filter the call records supplied by the connected phone system, export supported data and review an available recording. Agree internal-call coverage, access and retention as part of your setup.

06 / CONNECTED VOICE OPERATIONS
Internal coordination is part of a wider voice setup.
Connect extensions to the voice-operation tools your organisation needs. These advanced capabilities have their own activation, PBX and permission requirements.
01
A route when plans change
Configure forwarding to an extension, mobile or queue, with supported time and availability rules.
02
A team behind the extension
Assign agents to queues and use enabled round-robin or skill-based distribution for the wider voice operation.
03
Support with defined permissions
Keep call supervision aligned with supervisor permissions.
Keep team coordination close to the customer conversation, with clear roles for internal calls and service follow-up.
07 / READY FOR YOUR TEAM
Give every calling user a clear setup.
Administrative permissions and calling access are separate. A free Management Only Admin User has no calling or phone extension; Full Access adds operational access while retaining administration.
1
Operational access
A paid user, or an Admin User with Full Access.
2
A configured extension
The user is linked to the enabled phone service.
3
A ready webphone
Check extension connection and microphone access.
4
A tested call path
Check internal calling and permitted transfer destinations.
Channel activation, optional services and usage charges are confirmed separately.
A few details before your team connects.
Are internal calls the same as customer calls?
Internal calls connect configured user extensions within the organisation. Customer calls use your connected business phone service; their routes and charging arrangements are separate setup decisions.
Can I find a teammate without memorising the extension?
Yes. The internal calling list supports searching users and starting a call to the selected teammate.
Can I mute, hold or transfer an internal call?
The webphone includes mute, hold, keypad and transfer controls. Supported transfer modes and destinations depend on the configured phone service.
Does every internal call have a recording?
Use internal calls for quick coordination, and keep agreed follow-up details with the conversation or ticket.
Does an internal call create a private note automatically?
Add a private note and mention a colleague beside the related conversation or ticket.
Can the free Admin User make calls?
Management Only provides administration and viewing access without calling or an extension. Enable Full Access for that user, or add a paid calling user; adding someone else does not unlock the administrator’s own calling access.
Does this include conferences or every mobile calling feature?
Group calling is not implied. Mobile calling depends on the enabled app and phone integration; confirm extension calling and supported controls for your Android or iOS setup.
